Days & Nites
It has been 1 week in Sg. I was full of excitment when I arrived back home last Wed. So much things to do, many people to see and tonnes of food to eat.
1 week into my "holiday", I suddenly feel estranged. I kinda lose the connection with the environment. I feel apart from this lifestyle I have been yielding when I was in Perth. I suddenly lose the passion for it.
Maybe I should be more proactive in creating activities for myself. I definitely need to check out some gym facilities. Maybe I could pack myself with many fitness classes in 1 day. I probably enjoy it tremendously. I thought of some activites I could do on my own - movies, museum, galleries, library (to soak up the free and powerful air-conditioning!) and window shopping.
I think I would start that tomorrow. Get out of the house for a few hours everyday and do something that I don't get to do often. Otherwise, I will turn retard VERY SOON! I'm in need of neuro-challenge at this point of time before it is being declared dead!
Yeah....for my own good....I think I should. Hopefully, my days and nites would be very different from this week onwards.

1st weekend in Sg
Sunday - 1st weekend in Sg. What did I do? I did plenty on Friday & Sat and have a really slow Sunday today.
It has been fun so far. I think I did really well so far too : ) I haven't go crazy and generate the Sg economy enomously. Hehehehehehe :P I did some shopping and I make sure I'm getting the best deal that no any shopper can ever say no...keeping the suspense....tell u guys later. Wahahaha
I meet up the gals for the 1st time last Friday's evening. The mom of the group had to leave work late so I volunteered to pick up her son, my little boyfriend from his English class. I was a little worried as I haven't seen Aaron for such long time and I think kids do not have very good memory when it comes to faces. I was worried he will refuse to leave with me or burst into tears and people would mistake me as a kidnapper. Haha. Anyway, Aaron was sooooo happy to see us. I went with Pris in the end to pick him up.
Later on that evening....we had dinner at the food court and had coffee at a cafe. It was really good time. Elleen joined us after 9ish and I got to meet her other half for the very 1st time. He is a very nice bloke! Very relief! Haha : )
We hung out till after midnight and we agreed to meet up again on Sat evening for coffee. Woke up pretty early on Sat as I went down to Ted Collection to have my first fitting for my cheongsam. The cheongsam looks good....really excited to know how the end result will look liked. Had a really yummy lunch - Yong Tau Foo, one of my favourite food! Hmm.....gotta have more before I go back to Perth. Then after, me and Marilyn headed down to Vivocity....a new shopping mall. That mall is HUGE!!!! It houses 15 cinemas in that complex....the biggest in Sg I was told!!!! Gotta try the cinema's system and seats before I go.
Anyway, our motive at Vivocity is to buy a pair of shoes to go with my cheongsam. Need a pair of silver heels. We found it...thanks to Marilyn! I also bought a dress for only S$40 (AUD$33.30) Very Nice!!! And bought Dien a nice shirt for only S$19. Went to Marilyn's in-laws place as her little boy (baby) is there. I haven't seen Matthew for a long time. Or let's say that the last time I saw him, he was just a baby a few months old. Now....he is a cute little boy walking around on his own....very cheeky!!!!
I was warned that no one can touch/carry him. But he warms up to me very quickly!!! I got to carry him so many times and play with him. Maybe he likes me. Hmm....no I didn't bribe him with any lollies. : )
So I was out for more than 12 hours yesterday. We went back to Vicocity again in the evening and had coffee there. One of the cafe closes at 2.30am in the morning! Cool!!!! We drank and chatted.....it feels really good. The same group of people but we have all matured with time. Our sense of humour is still the same!!!! We left about at 1.00am in the morning. Wow...tired.
Went out with my parents today. My brother told me last night that there is a NINE WEST clearance sales near our place. You can imagine my eyes dilated when I heard that. I went to check it out! So you ready for the real suspense? I bought a pair of ENZO ANGIOLINI suede keen high boots for only S$25(AUD$21)!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was f@#%king cheap. It was even cheaper than that pair of kid-sized boots I bought 2 winters ago. Oh! I need to crown myself.....what a shopping legend I am!
So far....everything has been fabulously good. Good food, good shopping, good bitching with the gals!
Well, not sure what I will do tomorrow. Maybe I should sleep in.....I don't know....we shall see. Stay tune to more of my shopping adventures! Hehehehehe :P

Frustrations! Frustrations!
What is this frustrations all about?
It's about IT. HUH??? Damn! I regret not bringing my laptop with me to Singapore. Here I am sitting at my brother's desk, typing on a MAC keyboard, using a bloody MAC computer. I can't deny that they are good. But this damn thing is just not user-friendly!
I don't have another alternative, unless I head down to an Internet Cafe.....but I like to log on at leisure....liked now at 2.30am in the morning. Me - Sleepless in Singapore! [Hmm, maybe I should ring up a radiostation to seek advice...sounds familiar?]
I didnt sleep well last night. I was woken up by the 1st train at about 5.30am this morning. Then, there were the aeroplanes. Then the cleaner who does regular cleaning at the flats' common areas. How I missed the tranquility in Perth. Frustrations go on.....the bed feels different. So is the pillow.
What should I do? What can I do to sleep better? Stop the train from passing by my place? Hah! sounds liked a bloody good idea! (Fat chance!) I tried to tired myself out so that I will fall asleep once I lie down.....but my eyes are still wide open. No parts on my body wants to sleep.....What's wrong with me?

2Ds in Singapore
I came back to Singapore (Sg) yesterday. It has been more than 6 months since I last came back. I felt weird when I was on the plane back. Nope, not having funny feeling about the flight...just having thoughts about my trip overall. In the past few trips back to Sg, I feel more and more liked a tourist in the country where I was born and raised. Sg is constantly changing. Itz probably one of the cities that evolves consistently. Sometimes there are so many changes, it frustrates the hell out of me. Cos' I feel left out, I'm not updated, I don't feel liked a part of this place which I still call HOME.
Anyway, just after the plane landed. I told myself and I wrote down on my notebook that I will:
1) Expect the unexpected.
2) Go with the flow according to situations.
3) Enjoy the moment and live the best I can everyday of the trip.
4) Not be a perfectionist in every nitty gritty thing. Repeat Pt#2.
5) Not expect others to act liked me, think liked me and live liked me. Everyone's different and that's what makes the difference.
6) Not make comparison and be miserable.
I know some of my friends would be reading my blog while I'm away. I thought I would tell everyone the interesting things that happened as it goes. So get ready for ACTIONS!!! : )
So what did I do for the past 24 hrs? I got in touch with all the bitches once I got back.....complained about the heavy cranberries that I got to bring back- 4.3kg of dried cranberries. My luggage was almost 28kg. Phew! I thought I have excess luggage!!!! Maybe I did????
Ate my favourite Chicken Rice for lunch....YUM!!! It was soooooo GOOOOD! I can't describe that satisfaction I get from Chicken Rice. All I can say is YUM! YUM! YUM!
Went to see my grandma and for dinner.....another local cuisine - Fried Prawn Noodles. It feels sooooo GREAT to be tucking into local food! Love the hawker centre!
I went to do some China tours research today. The weather today was AWFUL! It was bright when I left home. After I entered the mall and came out 30 mins later, the sky was as grey as the London sky. It poured liked mad cats & dogs!!!! Argh!!! Stood there and "admired" the rain for about 10mins. It's not gonna stop. I need a brolly. So I went into Giordano - $6 for a long brolly on rainy days ($12 on sunny days). And I picked up my best buy within 24 hrs!!!!! I bought a Winter D/breasted blazer for only S$44.50 (AUD$37) Where can u get a blazer in Oz for $37????? Damn! It was a bargain! Should thank the rain for it. Hehehe : )
It poured for a long time........Cabs seemed to have disappeared.....waited at the taxi stand for about 10 mins. The Q didnt moved, not a single cab drove in. I don't have a local mobile.......I want to call my DAD to come pick me up!!!! (I need technology to send out a SOS signal!!!) I need to be contactable ASAP!!!! I decided to take a bus back. Got home in about 30mins. I think I would be still Q-ing if I didn't take the bus.
My dad made fried rice tonight. The 1st time he makes fried rice. My brother and I were very skeptical about his cooking skills. I had to assist him during the cooking. Let's say, I have to smashed the garlic for him so that he can chop it up....It turned out fine. So far i haven't been to the toilet. Hahahaha : )

A New Year, A New Life!
We are finally married!!! 3 days before the end of 2006!
The wedding was just beautiful, in a hot summer day, in a beautiful manicured garden! We have the sight of pretty flora and fauna and the sound of a waterfall! What more could we ask for?
We had a harpist and flutist playing during the the ceremony. I wished I could hear them more. The ceremony was short and simple. Just the way we wanted it. Dien's chokey voice during the vows made me cried! Aiks! Later, I got to know that I made many cried when I dropped my tears! Hahaha!!!
We took pictures in the grand garden. I wished the sun wasn't that harsh on us. It was a burning 37 degrees. Hot! Hot! Hot!!! Anyway, we did take some nice pictures.
I am really grateful that some of my friends made it to the wedding. Though I couldn't have the whole group of friends there, many flooded their well wishes via sms and cards.
Come to think of it....even though it was such a hot day....I had fun. I had lotsa fun! It was a very memorable wedding. If we could do that one more time....We would done the same thing, except the reception would be held somewhere else. The beautiful memories of the ceremony will stay in us for a LONG time.
